Les Favorites by Carine Michel — Private sale in Belair, with chef Gérard Szele
Les Favorites by Carine Michel creates handcrafted jewellery set with precious stones and baroque pearls, designed by Carine Michel and made by hand in Thailand. The brand brings its clients together at invitation-only private sales. For this edition, it invited Gérard Szele, founder of the restaurant Le Fin Gourmand — an institution of Luxembourg gastronomy since 1988 — and twice winner of the Chef's Cup Luxembourg. For the occasion, the chef created bites with Thai flavours, echoing the origin of the pieces.
Two crafts brought together for one private sale: the hand that shapes the jewel and the chef who elevates the produce. I filmed the pieces up close, worn and tried on, weaving them in with the chef's gestures and the moments shared between guests. A sober, elegant art direction, to convey the intimacy of a sale reserved for a few.
